Safe in Town

Safe in town works with vulnerable people from the age of 14 upwards to stay safe. People can sign up if they have a learning disability, physical disability, alzheimer's, dementia or if they are over age 60.

People carry a safe in town card which has the telephone number of the person who cares for them.

If they don't feel safe whilst out in the community they can go into a shop that has the safe in town logo in the window. The shop then calls the number and stays with them until help arrives.
